APSA Conference at University of Tokyo

APSCC presents at the 11th APSA International Congress held at the University of Tokyo. The event attracted 297 participants from 22 countries.

The International Congress seeks to provide a path not only for a broad investigation of urban planning studies across the Asian cities, but also for sharing professional and academic knowledge and expertise. Cities in an age of globalization have been urged to quest for reconsideration of traditional urban planning concepts and instruments. History of urban planning in Asian cities goes back many decades but the re-planning strategy is clear and growing interest as the next agenda for future sustainable regeneration.

The team investigated a conceptual frame work for Environmental Sustainability at Universities from the perspective of disseminating, discovering, creating and finally operating on knowledge. The strategic plan, presented in this research articulates the campus commitment towards sustainability encompassing social equity, environmental management, and economic prosperity.
