This research project investigated the role that higher education can play in addressing the challenges of sustainability and climate change, and particularly the importance of leadership and governance. Dr. Golda A Edwin and Dr. M Nandhivarman from India joined the team that included investigators/ researchers from seven countries and was supported by the Körber Foundation, on behalf of the Global University Leaders Council. The study looks in detail at the situation in Brazil, Germany, India, Japan, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.
